Brand and production
Oliva Serie 'O' Maduro is a handmade cigar of Oliva. Oliva produced this cigar at the at the Tabacalera Oliva factory in Esteli , Nicaragua.
Design
Serie 'O' Maduro is a rounded cigar that comes in a Robusto shape. It’s a 5inch by 50ring gauge cigar stick. This cigar surface appears in dark chocolate. The end cap and the textures on the body got invisible for the dark color. The glossy golden band looks great on the dark body.
Build quality
Handmade things always seem good; nothing opposite happens here. They used Nicaraguan puro blend and Nicaraguan filler and binder in this cigar. It filled and hand-rolled perfectly.
Wrapping
They used Connecticut Broadleaf, Maduro wrapper in this cigar. Connecticut is a really good wrapper and provides a natural sweetness flavor. It covers all the ingredients well and doesn't lose its shape. For the dark wrapper, we didn't find any veins on the body.
Taste
The wrapper scents like sweet coffee and barnyard. Cold smoke reminds me of the hey and chocolate flavor. Also, the cold draw wasn't much tight.
Beginning portion
On the first third, we got really good coffee and dark chocolaty flavor. It was actually really nice and mixed well. On towards, we got some really good mild sweet spice with the chocolate and coffee. There was also a nice cocoa powder aroma in the background to provide sweet smoke flow.
Middle portion
On the second third, bold chocolate and coffee are still there with the mixed spice. The mild wood flavor was added with them and came on the tongue nicely. Halfway down, still maintaining its full-bodied, medium strength profile.
Bottom portion
Pepper was coming nicely; now we got the specific white pepper spice here. Medium cedar added with the chocolate flavor, feel the coffee invisible here and provide an enjoyable sweet pepper spice finish.
Burn
The burning was well. Smoke time was excellent, and the ash was very much solid as its hand-rolled stick.
Summary
In all sectors, Oliva did a really good job. Their mixing of 3 or 4 basic flavors did a wonderful job of providing a lovely draw. The smoke time was also good, and the smoke was coming smoothly till the end—a huge thumbs up for this cigar.
