Perdomo Dbl Vintage series was released in 2014. The wrappers are from 2001-2002 and additionally aged for 2 years in wooden barrels. This makes the flavors deeper and ensures the quality that Perdomo provides for this three-decade time. Perdemo Double aged vintage maduro is no exception.

Build Quality

The color of the cigar is chocolate color. The cigar is well pressed and very heavy in the hands. This means it is a dense cigar. The veins are minimal, and the seams are invisible and tight. There is a good shine on the wrapper. The fillers are Nicaraguan long-fillers, and the binder is Nicaraguan tobacco.

This cigar comes in different shapes. The Epicure-shaped cigar is 6 inches by 56 ring size.

The cigar is wrapped with a Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper. 

Taste

The tones to get from smoking the cigar are dark chocolate, licorice, sweet cocoa, and espresso. 

Beginning Portion

The first tones that will hit your mouth are coffee and licorice. This feels nice on the mouth. Then there is dry wood. There is a little hint of orange citrus. In this portion, there is a lot of dark coffee. A faint black pepper can be felt on the finish. The range at this portion is medium. 

Middle Portion

In this portion, the cigar becomes very dark and licorice. The coffee and cocoa chocolate flavor transit to deeper tones. The dry wood feels nice. A hint of espresso might be felt on the tongue. The pepper flavor stays consistent. Range at this portion is medium. 

Bottom Portion

The cigar grows a blackberry-like taste in this portion. The sweet citrus and coffee stay bold. The licorice flavor is also very sweet. The dry wood flavor becomes mellow. Black pepper flavor also becomes mild. The range at this portion is medium to full body. 

Burn

The burn of this cigar is pretty slow. The burn line is excellent. It stays quite straight for most of the time. The draw has a bit of resistance. The smoke is creamy and thick. Ash holds for a good amount of time.
