Cohiba Blue is a full-bodied cigar from Cohiba. It is one of their latest complex flavor lineup cigars. The core flavors of this medium-strength cigar are pepper spice, leather, and creamy nuts. For the appearance, this cigar got 95%.
Brand and Production
Cohiba Brand makes this blue Rothschild cigar. Its complex flavor came from three different countries and was made in the Dominican Republic at their Scandinavian Tobacco Group Estelí S.A. factory.
Design
Cohiba Blue Rothschild is a short Robusto shape 4.5inch by 50ring gauge torpedo cigar stick. The brown color rolls look good and well-constructed. Some textures are seen on the body. The leaf also looks neat. The blue band looks nice on the cigar body.
Build quality
Build quality was on top-notch. It is filled with Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Dominican tobaccos. These blended carefully and filled perfectly to provide medium-strength smoke. Check Cohiba Connecticut.
Wrapping
For wrapping, they used Olancho San Augustin tobacco, smells very good like sweet peanut butter, and the leaves also look fresh. Build a compact package. We got some vein, watching with naked eyes.
Taste
Pre-firing got some sweet leather and creamy flavor taste. Smoking different layers, multiple flavors appeared till the end.
Beginning portion
Smoking the first time, I got a nice unique sweet aroma. Then I felt the medium white pepper spice was coming. Smoking quite a bit of time, I finally got the sweety cedar leather flavor that dominates through the cigar.
Meddle portion
On the midway, some extra flavor comes; wood and earth flavor are one of them, and they are mild. But the creamy flavor was coming strongly. At halfway down, still, the smoke was smooth.
Bottom portion
On the last portion, the smoke feels strong from the medium. Some flavor vanished a little bit, but the cedar leather, white and red pepper, and creamy nut flavor remain till the finish. The unique sweet aroma also remains, and we got some leather scent on it.
Burn
The burning was good, didn’t burn much fast, and no touch up needed. Also, solid ash was coming that indicated a well-rolled cigar.
Summary
The flavor slightly turns on the middle portion from the beginning to the bottom portion, but we like complex switching flavors. Smoke output was coming nicely. we didn't feel any bitterness; there was full of sweetness and spiciness all around.
