Cohiba Puro Dominicana is a medium-strength cigar having 100% Puro Dominican Tobacco inside. The main flavor of this cigar is black paper spice, oaky and roasted coffee, and the wrapper scents a nice leather aroma.

Puro Dominicana is made by Cohiba. They collect all the fresh flavors or fillers from multiple countries and produce in the Dominican for the general cigar company.

Design

Cohiba Puro Dominicana is a toro shape 6inch by 54ring gauge dark brown torpedo stick. We see some black texture highlights on the cigar. This long roll looks good and well-constructed. Also, the endcap is roundish as like others, and well shielded.

Build quality

Bold Dominican long-fillers and binders came from the Dominican Republic. Fillers blended and filled perfectly which creates a strong profile.

Wrapping

This cigar used Dominican natural wrapper came from the Dominican Republic. It looks dark brown and oily and filled with bold Dominican long-fillers. Wrapper has minimal veins and not much sponginess seen on the body. We got a leather scent from the wrapper.

Taste

On the first impression, we got fresh leather and pepper smells. Smoking different layers, we got different flavors such as oaky, grass, and spice flavor.

Beginning portion 

lighting the cigar, we got a sweet, mild black pepper spice aroma with a fresh leather smell. Smoking bit a while got two main flavors of this cigar; grass and chocolate. These two combines well and provide a light and bold, charming smoke.

Middle portion

On this point, flavors turn slightly; the oaky earth and black paper become the main flavor. Also, the leather and the sweet chocolate flavor are still there, and the roasted coffee flavor joins with them.

Bottom portion

Flavors didn’t change on this point; all flavors remained until the end, but some got mild, and some got stronger. The smoke gets very much strong at the finish. 

Burn

The burn was perfect like a razor sharped, no touch-up needs on any point, and the Ash was coming solidly, no curviness’ seen there.

Summary

Perfectly blended and filled all the ingredients inside the Dominican natural wrapper to provide a strong construction. For the good build, flavorful smoke comes smoothly. For that reason, the burning and the Ash of this cigar are impressive and solid.
