This vintage Maduro 1997 was the first release in the vintage series. It is made with handpicked broadleaf, which is fermented for a longer time than usual wrappers. This brings out the flavors and the oils of the broadleaf.

 This cigar is made by Macanudo cigar company in the Dominican Republic. 

Build quality

The appearance of this cigar is almost black. It has very minimal veins. The surface of this cigar is a little toothy. The seams are very tight and well hidden. The binder is from Honduras, and the filler is from Nicaragua, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic. 

Design

This cigar comes in toro shape. It is 6 inches in length and 54 ring size. It also features a solid metal band. 

Wrapper

The wrapper of this cigar is Connecticut Broadleaf. This wrapper is carefully harvested and fermented, which gives the unique flavor and the color of this cigar. 

Taste

The overall tastes to get from this cigar are creamy sweet wood and leather. 

Beginning portion

At this portion, the first tones to get from this cigar is woody and cider notes. The cigar is very slick and oily. There is a creamy flavor in the smoke. The range at this point of the cigar is mild to a medium body at the most. 

Middle portion

The burn of this cigar is slow. The burn line is razor-sharp. Burn line couldn't be more perfect. Ash of this cigar stays till the middle. It is silky smooth, and firm. The draw of this cigar is tight but becomes loose over time. The smoke is very thick and creamy throughout the whole cigar.
