The Oliva brand makes this Oliva Connecticut Reserve cigar. This cigar was produced at the Tabacalera Oliva factory in Nicaragua.

Design

The size and the shape of the cigar look really good. It's a Robusto-shaped 5inch by 50ring gauge cigar stick. It’s a deep golden color rounded cigar. We got some textures on the body. Also, the golden and white band looks great on the body.

Build quality

It's a handmade cigar; for that, the blending and filling were well. Cuban seed Nicaraguan long-fillers are used in this cigar, and the filler is also from Nicaraguan, making the cigar compact and flavorful.

Wrapping

Oliva used Flavorful Connecticut wrapper in this cigar. The wrapper keeps the cigar shape really well and provides a great construction. Also, there are minimal sponginess' and veins on the body. But the deep golden oily wrapper provides a fantastic creamy flavor.

Taste

On cold smoke got a really good creamy taste, and on lighting, feel the nice sweet chocolate aroma on the background.

Begging portion

Begging of the smoke got the cedar and toast flavor. These really make the smoke fantastic, as well as we feel the creaminess on the smoke. It feels that it’s charming the background really well and making a great smoking environment.

Middle portion

From mild, the smoke or the flavors are getting too medium-strong. We feel the coffee and roasted nuts flavors with the cedar and toast. Still, there is creaminess in the background. Also, the airflow is coming really nicely.

Bottom portion

Noting despair till the bottom, maximum flavors are still coming. Here white Pepper and chocolate are added with the rest of the flavor. The mixture output of the flavors really creates a great medium-strength vibe.

Burn

The burn was great and razor sharped. Rarely one touchup needs for it. Ash was strong and straight.

Summary

The construction was amazing. For the Connecticut wrapper and perfect blending of the longleaf, it gives a great smoke output. The airflow was coming smoothly till the end. This cigar is great to smoke with a cup of tea or else.
