Oliva Saison Churchill is one of the longest cigars from Oliva. This long cigar is compact with multiple ingredients, which provides mostly maximum flavors of Oliva history. The main flavors of this cigar are coffee, pepper, earth, oak, and leather. For these surprising flavors, it got 90+ points in almost all the sectors.
Brand and production
Oliva Saison is one of the best flavorful cigars made by Oliva. They cultivated all the ingredients in Somoto, Estelí, and Condega and produced this cigar in Nicaragua.
Design
The size of this cigar is really long. It’s a torpedo-shaped 7inch by 50ring gauge cigar stick. The surface of the cigar is dark brown and silky. We got some very nice-looking textures on the body. Also, the giant band on the giant body looks attractive. The end cap, almost blended with the body, looks very neat.
Build quality
The build quality is really great because of all the ingredients they harvested on their own farm. They used long Nicaraguan fillers and binder in this cigar, which provides a medium to full-bodied cigar.
Wrapping
This cigar is covered with the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper; it appears in dark brown. The wrapper holds all the ingredients really well and doesn’t lose its shape. Also, we didn't find much sponginess' as its long-sized and large veins on the body.
Taste
The wrapper smells a sweet scent. Pre-firing tastes like tobacco and pepper.
Begging portion
After lighting the cigar, we got the bold tobacco flavor and smoked a little bit, feeling the pepper and spice added with them. It feels that all flavors are getting bold in every smoke. But these provide great relief and taste.
Middle portion
Some flavors added here. Especially the oak, it feels amazing. Other flavors like earth and leather mixed really well with the previous flavors, and it gets a little bit down from the bold flavors; it's good and helps to smoke more smoothly.
Bottom portion
Here all flavors did not vanish fully; they mostly became mild. Once again, the pepper got bold here and got some roasted coffee flavor. Sweet, creamy aroma still coming in the background from the begging.
Burn
Oliva Saison burns well, and touchup needed some points for being a long stick. Ash was solid and slightly curvy.
Summary
Habano wrapper and longleaf blend mostly balanced this long cigar. Smoke time and the smoke output was amazing and smooth. It didn’t dry our tongues much. Anybody would love to smoke it.
