Oliva Saison Maduro cigar is the first harvest 2011 by Oliva. In this cigar, they utilize a wonderful combination to provide a masterful blend. The core flavors of this cigar are leather, grass, chocolate, and cinnamon. All these combine well and taste fantastic. The blend works really well to satisfy the customers.

Brand and production

Oliva Saison Maduro is one of the best torpedo-type cigars from the Oliva brand. They produced this cigar on their farm in Nicaragua.

Design

Oliva Saison Maduro is a dark chocolate color Robusto shape cigar. It appears in size of 5inch by 50ring gauge cigar stick. Not many textures are seen on the body because of the dark color. The glossy white band on the dark body looks unique and attractive.

Build quality

Inside the wrapper, the build quality and blending were great as they used all the ingredients from their own farm. All the things like the longleaf filler and binder came from Nicaragua. 

Wrapping

They used Broadleaf Maduro wrapper in this cigar, which appears in a dry, dark chocolate color. This wrapper also came from Nicaragua. This wrapper covered all the ingredients really well. The end cap also looks solid. Also, we didn't get many veins on the body.

Taste

The dry wrapper smells really good; it gives us a very nice sweetness. The cold draw was also good; it got grass and cocoa powder flavor.

Begging portion 

In the begging, multiple flavors come on our tongue. We got the bold dried grass, floral, earthy, and sweet cocoa powder flavor on this portion. Some mild leather and pepper were also coming that was nicely appearing in the background.

Middle portion

The bold flavors got mild here. Chocolate and cinnamon take place instant of the other bold flavors, providing sweetness all around. Leather and pepper are still there. They got bold and combined well with others as a full-bodied cigar.

Bottom portion

Here leather takes place all around the smoke. The others are still there, but they mostly get mild. Sweetness is still there in the background. It finishes with no bitterness, and the strength remains in medium-full.

Burn 

The burn was super great. Heavy smoke output was coming continuously and increasing smoke to smoke. Ash was coming straight and solid.

Summary

The hole smoke was coming heavily, and it was increasing because of the good construction and blend. Smoke time was good, and no touchup was needed at any point. It's a very good stick to enjoy with a cup of tea.
