Brand and Production
Oliva made this Oliva Serie 'V' Maduro double toro cigar. They do the production of this cigar at the Tabolisa I factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
This toro-shaped cigar appears in dark chocolate. The size of this cigar is 6inch by 60ring gauge stick. The body is almost rounded, and the end is blended with the body. There are some textures and cracks on the body. The golden chocolate band is a little bit, but according to the size of the body, it fits well.
Longleaf fillers and binder used in this cigar; all came from Nicaragua. These are aged ingredients to provide a rich and balanced smoke. The Nicaraguan blend was filled and hand-rolled perfectly.
They used San Andres Mexican Sun Grown Maduro type wrapper in this cigar. It is strong and covers all the ingredients well. This dark chocolate wrapper smells nice, and we didn't see many veins on the body.
Pre-firing smoke gives us a very good taste; we got very good sweet chocolate and tobacco flavor.
On the first third, we got a really good natural tobacco flavor. It feels like dark tobacco. Also, we got sweet chocolate and spice in the beginning, mixed really well with the others.
On the halfway down, the flavors didn't change much. Some flavors added here; we got nuts and beans here; it feels like almond and coffee flavors. Also, there was sweetness all around.
All flavors seem the same here, almost. We feel the spice and the tobacco slightly getting their strength and adding better charm on the last portion. Others got mild here, but the here smoke output remains flavorful till the finish.
The burn was good, and maybe one touchup is needed at the bottom. The draw was coming nicely. Ash was very much solid and straight.
This medium-full strength cigar gives us a great charm. All the sections were great, especially the draw and burn were great. It was not much tight or loose. Smoke time was also perfect for enjoying on any occasion.
