Perdomo Craft Series Amber was released in 2015. The goal of this cigar was to make a cigar that is suitable to smoke with different types of beer. Because of this reason, Amber has become very popular since 2015.

Brand and Production

The cigar is made by Perdomo in Nicaragua.

Build Quality

The cigar is a solid build. There is a little sponginess in the cigar. The appearance of the cigar is dark brown color. The veins are minimal in this cigar, but the surface is slightly toothy. The seams are tight and well hidden. More importantly, the filler and the binder of this cigar is Nicaraguan tobacco leaf.

Design

The cigar comes in 4 different sizes. They are Gordo, Robusto, Churchill, and Epicure. The Gordo-shaped cigar is 6 inches by 60 ring size.

Wrapping

The cigar is wrapped with Nicaragua sun-grown tobacco leaf. This gives the dark brown color of the cigar.

Taste

The allover tastes to get from the cigar are citrus, cream, leather, earth, nut, and black pepper.

Beginning portion

Firstly, the cigar gives a charming citrus flavor and leather, cream flavor. The leather note is a mild but fresh and new type. There is a hint of black pepper on the finish. The range at this portion of the cigar is medium.

Middle portion

Here, the flavor becomes complex. The notes are mixed, so detecting a particular flavor is hard. The sweet flavors also deepen in this portion. The range at this portion of the cigar is medium to full body.

Bottom portion

At this portion, the previous flavors change a little. There is nuttiness that comes in the front. The sweet cream and citrus tones stay the same as the middle portion. The earth and leather flavor could be detected easily, but it fades a little bit. Black pepper stays the same with its mellow profile. The range at this point of the cigar is full body.

Burn

The burn of this cigar is nice. The burn line stays wavy but razor-sharp. The draw of this cigar is great. On the other hand, smoke stays creamy. The ash is nice and firm, holds its place till the middle of the cigar.

Summary

This craft series was made for beer lovers. This cigar is no exception. The mild dryness that happens to smoke this cigar is perfectly balanced with the cold beer. It is also enjoyable without beer when you want to smoke a hard-core full-body cigar.
