Perdomo Dbl Vintage series was released in 2014. The wrappers are from 2001-2002 and additionally aged for 2 years in wooden barrels. This makes the flavors deeper and ensures the quality that Perdomo provides for this three-decade of time. 

Brand and Production

This Perdomo Dbl Aged 12 Yr cigar is made and produced by Perdomo cigar company in Nicaragua. 

Build Quality

The color of the cigar is light tan because of Connecticut. The cigar is well pressed and very heavy in the hands. This means it is a dense cigar. The veins are minimal, but the surface is toothy. The seams are invisible and tight. The fillers are Nicaraguan long-fillers, and the binder is Nicaraguan tobacco.

Design

The cigar comes in different shapes. The Epicure-shaped cigar is 6 inches in length and 56 in ring size. 

Wrapping

The cigar is wrapped with Connecticut Maduro wrappers. It is aged 12 years and gives a complex flavor profile to the cigar.

Taste

The allover flavors to get from this cigar are cream, cedar, coffee, nutmeg, white pepper, and citrus. 

Beginning Portion

At this portion, the first few draws will give sweet citrus flavor. Then there are cream notes. There is also white pepper flavor. The citrus flavor is candy-like orange citrus. Some hint of nutmeg flavor can also be felt. The range at this portion is mild to medium body. 

Middle Portion

Here, you will feel a nice coffee flavor. The nutmeg becomes deeper. There is a creaminess throughout the cigar till the middle. The finish gives a nice white pepper flavor. The sweet cream remains consistent. The range at this portion of the cigar is mild to medium. 

Bottom Portion

In this portion, as the burn comes closer, the flavors become deeper. The citrus flavor, coffee, and cedar flavor become strong. The sweet nutmeg feels nice. The finish still stays the same white pepper. The range at this portion of the cigar is medium. 

Burn

The burn of this cigar is excellent. On the other hand, the burn line stays straight and razor-sharp. The draw of this cigar is a little tight. Ash is good, stays silky and firm. 

Summary

This limited-edition cigar is really full of sweet medium-body flavor. The amount of time given for the wrapper to age can be seen in the tastes. The cigar is perfect for amateur cigar smokers.
